Chiropractic Medicine

The goal of chiropractic medicine is to restore normal joint and nerve function by using specific adjustment techniques.  A chiropractic exam involves palpation to find areas of decreased motion in the spine and extremities, and treatment uses targeted adjustment techniques to restore motion to the affected area.  Every animal is a candidate for chiropractic care, but routine chiropractic exams are especially beneficial for growing horses, older horses and sport horses in any type of training or competition program.

Acupuncture
Sports Medicine

Acupuncture is an incredible tool to achieve general wellness, provide better control of chronic disease processes, speed healing time, and manage pain. In practice for over 3,000 years, acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine, and research continues to show its benefits when used in conjunction with traditional western care.

Balanced Care Equine offers sports medicine evaluations, soundness exams, and pre-purchase examinations. The practice is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, and class III and IV therapeutic laser to keep your equine athletic partner feeling their best.
