Bonnie Kibbie, VMD, cVMA, cIVCA

A New Orleans, Louisiana native, Bonnie began riding at very young age and purchased her first horse, an off the track Thoroughbred named Perch, at sixteen.  She continued to ride and compete throughout her college years at Washington and Lee University in Virginia.

After college Bonnie moved from Virginia to Pennsylvania, where she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Through her equine clinical rotations, externships, and own personal experiences showing, as well as caring for her husband’s upper level event horses, Bonnie quickly realized the importance of integrative healthcare in maintaining the equine athlete.  With that philosophy in mind, she decided to attend the OneHealthSIM’s Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she obtained her acupuncture certification.

After vet school, Bonnie completed an internship at Tennessee Equine Hospital in middle Tennessee, where she had the privilege of working with sport horses of every discipline.  It was during this year that she was first introduced to equine chiropractic medicine, and, after seeing the benefits in many of her patients, decided to study equine chiropractic at Options College of Animal Chiropractic in Wellsville, Kansas.  Upon completion of this course, she obtained certification through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Today, Bonnie's practice focuses on a "whole horse" approach to treatment.  She prides herself on offering comprehensive care to support all levels of equine athletes and companion horses.  The use of complementary therapies to improve comfort, enable optimal performance, and speed healing provides more options for clients who want their horses to feel their best.

When she’s not working, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their sons, Eli and Sam, on their small Chester County farm.
